The inaugural Media One Funski occurred in 1989 as a cross country ski race. It was held at the Riverview Farm on a course in the bluffs along the Big Sioux River, 10 miles south of Sioux Falls. It was conducted as a fundraiser for the Children’s Inn and raised around $3000. 30 skiers participated. ...

Media One Funski Reminder: Great Bear is open to the public during Funski. The tube hill will be closed for the Friday night tube races though. Looks like nearly 20 teams for that event! Also, online registration will close at midnight tomorrow (Thursday ).

Great Bear Ski Valley
Fresh snow at the Bear! Should be a good weekend, Frosty Frolics on Friday ($5.00 tubing at 5pm and Alan Goodroad live in the Bears Den Lounge). Good temps for Saturday and the Sanford Health boarder/skier cross at noon on Sunday.....
